And here we go again after a quiet week last week with new year's and all.
Happy New Year with hopes and wishes for a better year than last. Onward...
This Week's New Releases
Individual Release Spotify Links
Bonobo – From You {deep house, electronic}. Among my favorite artists of the last 20 years, back with an EP for this week and a new full album “Fragments” out next Friday.
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard – Black Hot Soup (DJ Shadow “My Own Reality” Re-Write) {alternative, electronic} I know it’s King Gizzard, and it’s a single remix, but a DJ Shadow remix? That makes it a must-listen for me.
David Bowie – TOY:BOX {rock, alternative} Posthumously released new album, which is usually questionable. It”s a 3cd release and the 3rd cd is mostly unplugged which is interesting and promising.
Burial – Antidawn {electronic, ambient}
The Weeknd – Dawn FM {pop, synthpop} Yeah, I know. Still have to listen.
Best Coast – Always Tomorrow (Deluxe Edition) {alternative, indie rock} Reissue of last year’s release with extra goodies
Daniel Bachman – Lonesome Weary Blues {blues, folk}
SIS – Gnani {electronic, indie, jazz, soul}
The Wombats – Fix Yourself, Not The World {indie rock, alternative} n/a on Spotify

Last Week's Distilled Gems
Releases from 12/24 turned out well, and all are worth listening to assuming you like the genres. Given this was a two-week stretch between new releases and several long drives, I’ve actually listened to all these several times.
